Hmm...I would rather pay an extra $100 for arrows than $40 for blue led's...

The Blue LED's do look pretty cool...and you're right Kris, it would go perfectly with your indiglo's. I wonder if you can trade in your old 8500 model for the X50 and pay a bit more.

Just called Passport and they have no trade-in policy to buy back your old Escort 8500 and get credit to get the X50.

.. so looks like your gonna need to buy another 8500 for an update..

Well according to a person from Passport, the 8500 can only be programmed for software upgrades to detect new settings of the bands that the 8500 currently works with. And since the X50 works on a new hardware platform..he said that your gonna have to buy *another* 8500. Stupid if you ask me...

We'll see about that. My dad just ordered the X50..so I will be doing a comparison test between the old 8500 model, X50 model, and the V1. I will report back with the results...

Indeed. Accept no substitute: V1 is the best. You just can't beat hte bogie counter and the arrows.

Very handy on my trip to and from San Antonio this past weekend

Sounds like I need to sell my old 8500 on ebay so I can get this model.

If I can get $200 for my old 8500, I will be getting this new model.
