I am new to this forum so please bear with me.

I have an 03 type S with Navi. Took car to dealer for other repairs/maintenance.

They had a problem with the A/C and had to diagnose the problem. My question is: do error codes that are associated with a board (a/c controller board) show up when car is hooked up to diagnostic computer? Dealer is trying to soak me for several days of diagnostic time. I maintain that ODBIII connected to computer should have pinpointed problem in 15 minutes by throwing error codes.

Am I correct, and is the dealer trying to soak me? I am willing to pay for reasonable diagnostic time. Is the part covered by warranty?

No DTCS for the AC will show up on ta Gneric OBD and as far as Honda testers are concerned only 04 and up will have the capabilities to see dtcs via a tester. There is a self daignosis function for the climate control unit...but without the sefvice manual, telling you how to acess them is pointless.

I didnt mean to sound snotty. I just reread my post and I didnt like the way I sounded. What I meant was...If you dont have a service manual for the tl you wont be able to know what the DTC stands for and therefore wont be know what route to take you diagnosis. Sorry if I sounded like a penniz.
