New Mod Idea....brother Did It.

This sounds odd, but why wouldn't it work for us?

My brother has a '99 SE Maxima 5-spd. He attached a tube to the resonator box for the intake(have not looked at the TL-S, but i assume it does too) and puts dry ice in it when he goes to the track. It sounds funny, but it works! The car sounds different in a good way and is quicker. You can feel the speed and the slips show a difference of .5 second off his time. With that and a K&N drop in, his times are 15.2 w/o the ice and 14.7 with the ice. He ran his car 4 times with the ice and 4 times without. Can we do this. You get VERY cold air without the moisture issue. One load in the resonator lasts about 30 minutes and cost 25cents. He just gets 5 dollars worth and takes it to the track with him.

that's pretty common at the track..
also alot of people put a bag of ice on the engine bay and push their car to the line, that takes some time off ur 1/4...

If you can't run it on the street, then it's not worth running (in my opinion). People who put slicks, rip out the interior, ice down their cars, remove mufflers... bah. It's cool to see what times you're running, but it's silly to say that you can run even close to that time on the street. Unfortunately too many people do that and most peoples ETs mean jack to me.

Street Trim is the only way to fly.
