I wonder if they make ones to fit the tl thats one thing ive never seen r cars w clears tails....At the NYC autp show there was a Z4 w clear tails and they were listed as an option has anyone ever seen the tl w clear or altezza lamps if so where can u get em. But just thought it was funny to see something that was for a long time punishable now is standard equip....

It's the new RX-330 that he was talking about. The RX300 was just the altezza kind.

haven't found any real good pix. I did see one on the freeway. In the sun I couldn't tell if he was braking or not. I'm not sure I like the all clear yet.

The RX 330 lights are totally different than the 2001-2002 RX 300 lights. It is supposed to be harder to copy since everyone and their momma throws Altezzas on their car ALA IS 300/Toyota Altezza.

it's legal because of the red reflectors on the bumper.

i haven't seen how the brake lights look at night, but they suck in the daytime. i think they should have put a red lense on the tails, like all the other manufacturers w/ led tail lights on their cars.

Looking at your handle name, it's probably just a matter of time before you get the APC version on your car huh?

IMO they should have ditched the altezza look a long time ago when everyone and their mom had them on every car they owned. to me the only car that looks right with them on is the original: IS300, nothing else...

If you are brave enough you can open up your tail light casing and fit the inside full of LEDs. I thought about doing it, but it's tedious

http://clearcorners.com does custom LED tail lights. they probably cost a lot since it's all custom.

Correct. Clear tails will always be illegal unless they meet the DOT spec, which includes a red reflector in the rear. All vehicles that come with clear tails as OEM (think Lexus IS 300, RX 330, etc) have red reflectors elsewhere in the back. Just about every clear tail lense out there is not street legal by itself.
