Cool New Engine Cover, and my Car Pic!

So what do you guys think? Its pretty much an exact color match, metalic and all I can do any color if I have a sample of touch up paint.

I first coat it with a flex agent and adhesion promoter, and then the color. Been over 8K miles with 100 deg heat here and no problems

Below is my car after 3 steps of waxing!

Those are not tips, but Comptech Exhaust, I also have the headers and Drop in Airfilter.

Thanks for all the compliments. The other car in the garage has been my toy for now, until comptech comes out with more stuff, like the SuperCharger New tires, and maybe rims for the TL-S is all I have in store for now, but I would like to lower soon, however some of the streets we take the acura on, it may not like it.

typeSmaximum,
That looks hella good. I have TL-S ABP as well. Could you please go through the process again a little bit detail ? Like, what type or pain and brain you used ?

Thanks.

I am thinking about the head lights, if its easy to do. As far as lowering, maybe when I get another car for the more harsh of roads and travel.

The engine cover, and soon batt. Cover, may be hard to do at home yourself unless you have a compressor, and air gun and so on, and have done this type of thing before. However once done, it looks OEM. No everspray, or runs, and even the washers that don't come off under the bolts don't get painted on. I'm anal like that, LOL. I may take it off and show more pictures if wanted. The paint is mixed to match the factory color code, and is not bought anywhere already the same color or anything like that. Its pretty much an exact match though.

I may be able to do people's covers for them, at a resonable price, and other plastic parts. Email me at mbarnes1@elp.rr.com All I would need is the part, and a jar of your Acura Touch-up Paint if its to match your car. Other than that, you may want to ask your local body shop, though I'm sure it will cost more.

hey typeSmaximum... that looks great!! I had my engine covers done too (by a body shop) and it came out great too, but I didn't do my battery cover, which I'm kind of regretting. How much would it cost for you to do it? Here's a link to my topic about the engine covers, and below is a pic.

edit - Nevermind the cost question.. I shot you an email about it

Hey juniorbean, going to get back with you on that in about a day. Our cars are the same color, and with me doing mine at the sime time will help cost.

If anyone else has a ABP TL-S, and your intersted for the battery cover or the engine cover, let me know by email and the price would be even better and I'll do all the blue perl ones at the same time first. I've checked with other members, and I can get this done for less than most bodyshops are charging for the engine cover or otherwise. Email for prices.

hey TLS-Sun, what I did was got the darkest legal tint for the front windows, then did the same thing all the way around. Many states don't allow the front windows to be that dark, and I don't like that half and half look. Anyhow, thats just what I would do.

Its a nice light bronze color that you see on more high class cars as far as the tint color. Good luck!
