Question New car question?

Ok so I'm new to this forum but I just want to say that I've been looking for a new car for a while and I love the the TLS. First I started off looking for something with lotsa power (i.e. Cobra, SS, Corvette), but unfortunately they were made of cheap material and didn't have that "quality" feel. I didn't want to go back to just regular luxo sedan so I looked around and came upon the TLS, by luck mind you, and it was love at first drive. However, I noticed there was a CLS as well and I didn't know if there were any real pros or cons to either one other than cubic feet. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of the TL vs CL? I know this is a TL forum but bare with me here.

basically a coupe (cl) or seadn (tl) is the difference. rumors have it that the cl will be getting a 6-speed manual this fall as a 2002 model, but it's up in the air for the tl.

you can check out www.acura-cl.com , but it's not so good as this one.

Well, the CL-S is smaller, lighter, has less back seat room and is a 2 dr coupe that has 17 x 7 wheels. The TL-S has 4 doors, is a little heavier, is roomier and has 17 x 6.5 wheels. Same engine and trans. It's just a matter of personal preference whether you like a 4 dr or a coupe. I have people in the car a lot and that is why I got the TL-S. Both are great driving machines and can be modified to be even better.

I personally prefer the TL because it is a "performance sedan"

The TL and TL-S will most likely have a higher resale value. Dealers are selling the CL at next to nothing over invoice and the lease residuals (estimated value at end of term) are currently a couple of points higher for the TL. Also, the 2002 CL is supposed to get a "freshened" appearance for 2002 which will effect the resale value of the 2001's. On the other hand you can get an incredible deal on the 2001 CL's - much better than a 2002 TL.

I like a 2-door coupe, but I think a 4 door is more practical. I'd hate to have the front-seat passenger to get up so that someone can get into (or get off from) the back seat (especially in the winter.)

the cl is lighter? I heard that they are about the same weight. I know that sounds weird but i think thats what i heard on the CL forum.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll probably choose the TL. Though, I'm kinda interested in seeing what the new "look" will be for the CL.
