ok I just hit something and need to replace front bumper How much does it cost for a new bumper, paint and installation? and I just noticed there's some metal under the headlight(inside bumper), is that a part of bumper? that's also damaged..

 

call your local dealership. I would think that its damn expensive...depending on your deductable you may want to go though your insurance.

 

Sounds like you did some damage to the frame. I'd go talk to a body shop to see what damage you did. Sounds like more than just a bumper cover.

 

it was probably the metal bar that holds the headlights in... when someone hit my car it was bent out of shap and th guy at the body shop reshaped it back to normal... that was about 3 or 4 months ago.. i took off my bumper about 2 weeks ago and it looks good as new. as for the bumper i dunno... how hard was it hit? is it cracked or badly bent, etc? if not then maybe the body shop can help u there too.

The metal underneath the H/L is bumper retainer(#6).

 

Call every junk yard around - they may have front bumper in your color. And instructions on bumper removal can be found on this forum. Even if you need some metal work at bodyshop, having a prepainted bumper will save you at least $200.

I will be doing the same thing soon - I have a nice rectanglular depression in the bumper from SUV trailer hitch.

I had the bumper cover and side lamp replaced on my maxima a month ago. After the instal and paint it was about $2K. You can probably get it cheaper, but since the insurance company was paying for it, I went with a body shop that's considered one of the best in the state

 

My friend had his 2001 Honda Civic LX sedan rear bumper replaced and painted last week for $712 in San Francisco. Since you're from CA also, you should expect to pay around $700-$800. But I'm not sure if TL bumpers are more expensive than Civic bumpers though. Hope this helps.

I purchased the bumper myself from the Acura dealership and took it to them to paint.
