Thanks for the comments...

I will take all the pics I can as I go along.

Nothing I like better than to help fellow AZiners out.

This specific engine is from 02-04 Odyssey.

You can get one from the 02-04 Odyssey or the 03-04 Pilot.

Wow! Post some dynos when your done and keep us posted. I just knew someone would eventually a 3.5L swap. Are you gonna need new mounts? Maybe not since it's still a J-series...

I can use the same mounts. I will be upgrading to Innovative soon.

You better believe I will be posting dynos when everything is all said and done.

Very nice, I'm guessing you are going to do some kind of frankenstein build with this. Give us some more details. I'm very interested in reading about swaps/builds, that fellow members tackle. Good luck with it, and I can't wait to see the final results.

So, the J35A4 240 hp stock? I guess it has a much flatter torque curve tho... Are you gonna use type-s heads?

I will be doing a build for all motor. I figured since I will be going through all the trouble swapping trannys, I might as well rebuild an engine too.

I don't think there are kits to bore out our motors to 4.0.

The J35a4 will be very torquey.

My plan build is listed below:

CL-S heads/cams
RL pistons
S2K Injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel pump
UR pulleys
OE Spacers
E-manage to tune my motor.
and All the mods currently on my vehicle I/H/E

The headers are direct bolt on and so are the pulleys.

It will also be daily driven, so no boost for me. Maybe in the long run.

How much did the motor run you? And where did you find it? I'm still a ways off from being able to do something like this but its good to have a reference.

You can check out www.car-part.com

Look for 02-04 Odyssey engine or 03-04 Pilot engine. $1,200-$2,000 depending on mileage.

Then you have 6-speed transmission which ranges from $1,200-$2,000. Again, depending on mileage.

Swap parts about $1,200-$1,400.

This is all not including the labor.

Total for my swap is going to cost me 5.5k

Hope this helps.

We cant bore these motors out. There just isnt enough material to do so safely. There is a very small amount to oversize for rebuilds but thats about it.
They share a common wall so there just isnt the space

I hear ya bro. Do the 6-speed. The tranny won't hold up long.

3.5 is up to you. IMO you might as well if you are going the tranny swap route.

BTW, J-series FTW. We are so underated.
