Smile New 02 TL Type S

Well I have been reading this forum for the past few weeks while I break-in my new Type S. I must say it is very difficult to stay off the gas, so far 190 KMH. I know this puppy will fly when given the chance.

When does the rev limiter kick in and at what MPH. I am guessing around 140-150?

I am just waiting for my first ticket, no big deal so long as I am having fun while doing it. The fastest I have ever been is 139 MPH back in the UK with a Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8 SRi, while on the M25. Interestingly I was overtaken by a Black Audi Quattro doing about 170 MPH.....such fun.

Anyway, this is a great info base.

Does anyone know when a Supercharger will be available and any idea on average what the increase in Hp and Torque will be.

I have to say it: Go Canada. For once we can be proud to be Canadians winning Gold in Hockey.

What do you guys use for Summer/Winter tires. I was wondering whether I should change the stock boots to something better and maybe get some Blizzaks from next winter.

Ben
I bought a decent set of 99' TL wheels from the local wrecker wrapped it with Michelin Pilot Alpins.

Speed limiter = 149 mph (stock v-rated tires) scary as **** if you aren't expecting it, been there a few times, today in fact, on a long drive back from north FL.

Supercharger: Comptech announcements or you can do a search, there were like a million posts during SEMA.

Tickets? I've had 6 since December:
* Illegal tint - $44.00
* No seat belt - $44.00
* 60 in a 45mph - $143.00
* 92 in a 45mph - $268.00
* 108 in a 45mph - $268.00
* 123 in a 45mph - $268.00
* Attorney's fees - $1,050.00

Damn, that would have been headers and exhaust

Congrats on the hockey gold, great team.

Woo Hoo Jbrown.

One of the reasons I left the UK was that I had 15 points on my license. One more and they would banned me a year.

I will be testing the 149 limit once I have broken her in.

How do you like your tires/wheels.

Two ways to die, going very fast in a car (my preference a 911 Turbo RED) or on my mountain Bike! Yeh Baby.

I love having 19" Tires/Wheels, but they are definitely not suitable for areas with a lot of road construction. If I had it to do over, I would go with a lighter/stronger/more expensive and exclusive forged wheel like the Versus SS7 (25 lbs), Dronell M05 (21??? lbs) or Lowenhart BR-5 (?? lbs), although mine are pretty light (28 lbs).
The Versus and Dronell's also look a little bigger. And the Lowenharts look goooooooood.
I may get something else the next time I need tires, but I'm not sure.
