Exclamation need some urgent help! CEL, D5 blinking

I have a 8500 x50 hardwired into my fuse box. After the accident yesterday, it doesn't come on. So I open my fuse box and take the fuse out and readjust the wire wrapped around it. It is the cruise control fuse. I plug it in and nothing happens except a subtle click from the electrical system. So, I take and leave the fuse out and drive back to my house. However, with the cruise control fuse out, my battery light comes on along with the CEL and D5 blinking. I start the car, put it in D5, and it feels like it is in neutral, the car won't go. I plug the fuse back in, and the car returns to normal, HOWEVER, the CEL light is still on. I don't think it's a transmission problem. Hopefully, the CEL is on because the cruise control fuse was out. Please help!

take all the new wiring off the fuse
Use a real fuse connector pin from part store, not a wire wapped around a fuse end

Pull the CLOCK fuse, #13 on passenger side foot or edge of dash area
After 1 minute put fuse back in
That reset the ECU and should clear the CEL- if it comes back on go to a parts store for code reading
report any codes found back here for help

All the interior car fuses operate more than whats listed as their main job- one sensor feeds another and then systems shut down for safety

I just realized that 01tl4tl is a post whore... he took one response and made it into 3... damn, nice way to whore it up...

I think you just needed to reset the ECU after the accident... but I will let Tom fill you in...

I think you tricked the computer with the removal of cruise fuse
Reset the ECU and all is well- thats great news

At 10k post I got an avatar trophy that said `I Have No Life`,,wonder what 15 gets me!
Its not really 14 post a day- I was stuck at home the first year+, so some days its 30 some its 2, and now that I have a 2 wheel honda I am on here way less
Not to mention the 3 post posted here only got 1 post count-

Give you my IM? hahahahahahahaha
PM me here if you need something specific answered
