a different exhaust system? i'm trying to get that throaty growl! the guy next door to me has the new pony cobra and it sounds so sweet!!! i know it's hard with the V-6 , but with i/h/e, i was hoping i could get the decibel level up, especially in the lower rpm band! the comptech sounds great from what i can hear on the wav file, but you don't get the same effect as in person. is the comptech the loudest? they make quiet tip inserts so someone must want to tone it down? also, comptech seems to look the best with our tl's. anyone running I/H/E let me know what you think? thanks, kman. the comptechs are pretty quiet actually. i like the way the tanabe exhaust sounds.

have been reading excellent things about the apexi cat-back systems! kman

 

im gettin a custom catback system made and im using a magnaflow system. its really deep and loud, my friend has it on his 4 cylinder truck and even that sounds deep so i cant wait to hear it on the V6

 

I have a custom cat-back system with the Magnaflow mufflers and no exhaust resonator...sound awesome...deep and throaty and not buzzy sounding...also IMO looks way better than any other exhaust offered for the TL, also less expensive than other exhausts already pre-made...$410 including install at a local performance muffler shop...I had a CAI but took it off due to the annoying sucking sound, so I have the K&N drop in filter with the airbox resonator removed...so the exhaust is quieter now than when the CAI was installed, so yours would be a bit louder and throatier if you got the same system...there is going to be a meet soon here in South Florida that I am trying to organize, so far there is like 5 guys for sure...why don't you come along and you can listen to my exhaust in person.
