need a second opinion...

I went to a local import shop that installed my sways and springs because I heard the infamous squeaking from the rear sway..they must have not added the tape or lube or whatever...sooo anyways i went to the guy and told him bout my problem and he says "no, its teflon lube that they put on it not tape" and for me to bring it in tomorrow morning at 9...should i go to the guy and ask him just to put the tape on or will the lube work just fine?

By the way, i also asked him to install my 745il sidemarkers and the dude says" no i aint drilling no damn holes in that new car, are you crazy?" haha i thought that was amuzing considering damn bmw have them, why cant i? haha so ill jsut go find another place i guess...

Thanks for your advice ahead of time....
Greg

its the tape the sways came with. use that. you will need to however replace the tape later as it will squeak

He is right. The tape needs to be placed after a while.... Tell them to put the tape and some lube. That might prolong the time you have to go back to put new tape on......

go to Home Depot, to the plumbing section and get teflon tape and give it to him problem solved.
