If the hood is up and I arm the alarm system will it arm and beep?-Because mine does.
If I lock the car(arm) with the windows down and I reach inside the car and pop the hood should the alarm go off?-Cause mine does not.

Now the common TL problem is that the alarm goes off randomly, I have a feeling that my hood latch is to blame and is causing it to sometimes work.

and i dont think the alarm should arm with the hood up. its sort of a saftey built in letting you know that everything is not closed and locked properly.

not sure if popping the hood would set it off if the alarm is armed. the doors definately do.

 

It shouldnt be able to arm if the hood, doors, or trunk aren't fully closed.

 

Thanks guys. Took the latch off and tested the circuit for the hood open/closed sensor and found that to be faulty. Going to be ordering a new latch today.
