My car decided to blow out a large part of my lighting system. My headlights turn on and my brake lights only light when the brake is depressed. otherwise i have no gauge cluster lights when the headlights are on, no flashing lights when i lock/unlock the car. if anyone with a helms could scan all the pages including the lighting system that would be great. much appreciated.

if anyone in the DFW area has a helms that they wouldn't mind letting me borrow or wouldn't mind giving me a hand on this that'd be great. thanks guys. this is a major blowout.

 

Did you check any fuse blow ? ....

 

Did you check all your fuses? Its not just a matter of a few pages. They are scattered all over and would probably amount to 20-30. sounds like a multi plex went south??

 

nevermind i figured it out. with the handy use of the electrical diagram from my public library for the TL-S, i figured out it was a fuse under the hood. 15A SMALL LIGHTS fuse. i didn't even know there WAS a small lights fuse, but apparently it controls all dash lights, parking lights, and dimmed lights. oddly enough it doesn't control the dome light but i think that's on a different relay.

Your TL owner manual should have a diagram and description of all fuses ....Next time
you will know where to find insteed to the public library ...
