Need help on removing USA-Spec ipod connector from radio

Ok, I'm fed up with issues already (3 weeks in) with the PA11-HON USA Spec ipod connector. It works fine for a few hrs, then it will cut out or put my radio in some weird mode every 20 minutes for a few hrs. Over the weekend, it put my radio in the security code mode twice. The second time, the radio msg was just "ERR" .. not "CODE", and not "ERR1", or "ERR2". I did the usual underground garage method to get it to take the code, and it did not take the code like it usually does, so now I have no tunes in the car.

Decided to just take the ipod connector out and hope that it would take the code then, but can't get the plug out of the Aux connector on radio. I don't recall how the plug locks in, and as you know, there is not much room to work with in there when you just remove the passenger side kick panel.

Any tips/tricks on where the release is on the plug and/or recepticle and how to press it?

Yeah, I should have posted it in the A/V section. Anyone know how to get it moved?

Bought from enfig car stereo. Calling them shortly, but still want to take the adapter out and try to at least get my radio working. Weird that it suddently doesn't work when I go to a deep underground garage and enter my radio code. Worked like a charm the previous times it happened. I'm thinking the adapter is really screwing something up with the stereo.

I think you have to push down on a clip on top of the connector. I remember hearing it click when I installed it. So it should have something holding it in.

Honestly, I'd pull the radio out. It'll save you alot of time and frustration trying to get at the clip.
