Take it to autozone and have them scanned free.

the same thing happen to my car last night. I was driving and all of a sudden the check engine light started blinking. Then finally it stayed lit with my tcs light also lit. The car is sputtering and is not responsive. The idle is low and the car sputters at idle as if it wants to shut off. When I accelerate it doesn't want to go.

I took it to autozone and they pulled misfire codes for cylinder 1,2,3,4. Another code for random misfires and lastly it says a code for ignition system & "or misfire" in parenthesis. I changed the spark plugs and they are still throwing the same codes. Last guesses are the coil packs, but all 6? I took it to a shop today, he said it might be the fuel pump. Can misfires occur due to several reasons? meanwhile, I'm still searching old posts.

Weren't TL's under ignition recalls? Could that be the reason?

BTW - a blinking CEL indicates that continuing to drive could do irreversible damage. You should stop immediately if the CEL blinks.

i believe that was the key ignition recall. The code that I read today said ignition system. Well, I hope I didn't do too much damage. It's going to be parked now until I can figure this out. Thanks for the heads up.

P0300/P1399 -Random Misfire
P0301- No. 1 Cylinder Misfire
P0302- No. 2 Cylinder Misfire
P0303- No. 3 Cylinder Misfire
P0304- No. 4 Cylinder Misfire
P0305- No. 5 Cylinder Misfire
P0306- No. 6 Cylinder Misfire

P1676- FPTDR Signal Line Malfunction ( I believe it's related with your PCM/ABS/TCS wires or control system units.)

Do whatever you like with this info, as I am just giving you what the code means. Goodluck and don't mention it!

Ok, I brought it to the acura dealer/stealer.... Charged me damm 180 bucks for spark plugs and a diagnosis. They told me my timing belt is out of timing.

I had just got a timing belt service done else where. So I brought it back to the mechanic that did the timing belt service for me. They take the covers off and find that the timing is all in place. We also did a compression test on all the cylinders with 180psi evenly among all 6 cylinders. Appears to me they did not know what the hell they were doing. They didn't even check my fuel pressure.

hey mikey did you ever figure out what was wrong with your 1676 code? how did youy fix it? I just purchased a 1999 Acura TL 3.2 and it is missing, had a friend hook it up to a diagnostic comp and the code P1676 TCSDL (FPTDR) Signal failure came back. PLEASE HELP! any info about your experience would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg trying to find a problem if I can figure it out and then take it in to be fixed it would save me quite a bit of time. The biggest problem is I cannot stop driving it until I figure this out.

again any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Jen
