I just had the dealership install mine when I went in for an oil change. I have a pretty good relationship with them so they didnt charge me anything to replace them.

it doesn't, he's bragging bout his relationship with acura wish i had a relationship like that. too bad they just want to eat my wallet. hehe

you need a starshaped or a hex shaped screw, i forget, it has to have the key in the middle. once you've got that, it's simple as pie.

yup. the starpiece screwdriver is really helpful.. but you can also get a really small +head screwdriver to fit it into that little star shaped bolt.. you should get it out with no problem.

once you unscrewed that piece, pop that huge black thing out that was being held down by the screw out by twisting it.. this should get you access to the HID bulb inside. replace them and do the same thing i listed but backwards. hope this helped.

oyeah and if you want the direct screwdriver for that star piece, you should find it at any home depot/lowes. good luck!

Bxscig,

removing the bulb was not the tricky part for me. Putting it back in is a pain in the ARSE! After alot of cussing last night trying to replace the Passenger side HID head light, I finally rolled my car into the garage and said F* it... Do you (or anybody) have tips for getting the Bulb cliped back on. I have a 2002 TL-S (not sure if the HID unit is different from other years).

Any tips will be much appreciated

its pretty simple, should take no more than 10 mins to do both., after you take the black cover off. on the bottom off the bulb adpater, is a spring, push it out, and your bulb will come out. REMEMBER: Do NOT touch the bulbs. use cotton gloves or just avoid touching them.

Im assuming you in NYC area, I can help out or Bxscig. peace.

Just make sure that you rotate it into the slot slowly and it should fit well. After that, clipping it on isnt so bad. I had the same problem when I did mine, lots of cussing and scratched up hand lol

Now it is no problem, watch from the outside and then rotate it once u have it in the hole. You will see and know when it fits right.
