I'm a member of CL forum and I am now looking to get an used 2002 TL-S(blue) for my next car.
This one tl-s I'm looking at has appx. 83,000 miles on it, but it runs quietly and smooth~ .
However, I know that most of honda engines require new timing belt and major tune ups at around 80,000 mi. Can I have some information from you tl owners on such as when I need new timing belt, axle problem? and what problems I may face at that mileage of 83,000 mi.

I dont know if you're aware of this but theres a recall on the tranny. That car has 83k but the tranny recall is only up to 100k. If the tranny dies after that, you'll be on your own with the bill. I'm pretty sure thats why this person is selling it and probably really cheap too but I highly suggest that you go look for one with lower miles. Good luck with the hunt though. I just picked up my 02' aegean blue type s w/ navi no more than three weeks ago and I'm loving it!

Yes, the mileage is my major concern..
When I took it for a test drive, I tried to feel if there is anything wrong on the tranny, but it was shifting smoothly with no problems even though it was not warmed up.
What mileage did your tl-s have when you bought it? and any other problems you noticed?
