Need help with a buying decision
I am looking to buy a TL for my wife. I came across a '02 type S w/o navigation today and would like a little input on it.
The car has 85k miles on it. The car was purchased 4/01 according to carfax. That averages out to about 2400 miles a month. I am assuming it is highway miles.
Is there anything that I should be worried about with that many miles? Any common problems that I should look for?
What is a good realistic price for this car? Edmunds appraises it at 17,153 trade-in and 20,182 retail with the miles.

that many miles leads me to believe also that its most or all hwy miles, which are the best miles a car can have. i guess try to find out what type of maintenance it has had done to it.

there is a very low chance of the trannie actually going if it hasn't gone already, check the past records for the car and MAKE SURE there was not a trannie replacement already done. if not get the car, it's an amazing ride and I highly reccomend it to everybody I know!! TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!
