Need Help With Aux Input Adapter!

Hey guys. Well I'm going to be completely honest. Here's my deal, I have a aftermarket aux system hooked up to my 2003 TL-S stock stereo. But I do not know how to use it. And I don't know the brand. All I know is it has a white iPod hookup coming out of the console. So my question is, how do you guys turn your aux input systems on or get it to the aux setting? I know it works too because it stops the volume from functioning on my iPod. Thanks in advance everyone.

Make sure everything is plugged? Any Loose connections and you won't get sound, or you may have a faulty product.

Does the CD display show track 99 when in that aux input mode? If not, then your aux input unit is defective. These aux units plug into the connector in the back of the head unit. You don't need to remove the head unit to plug/unplug these aux adaptors. Just remove the trim and panel on the right side and stick your hand in there to access it.

Well I have tried CD #5 and #6 and those don't work because they bring me back to CD #1. But I'm 99% sure the system works because like I said it disables the volume function on the iPod. So that's how I know it's at least recognizing the iPod. So all I'm really asking is how you guys get your aux systems to work because I was going to just basically go through them all and try them. Thanks for all the help though from everyone, I really appreciate it!

Can you try another input device and see what happens, instead of the ipod, like an mp3 player or walkman or something?

Question, I have the Blitzsafe iPod package. But I want a connector with just the AUX connector so I can connect it to various different phones or MP3 players in my Acura. Which of these should I purchase? Or do I just purchase an AUX wire?

USA Spec iPod interface has an aux port as well. I have one for sale if you're interested. It's this one: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_581PA11...da.html?tp=120

Yes, ours is USASPEC too. USA SPEC PA11-HON. Has both an IPOD cable and an AUX hanging off it. Works as if it's CD disk 5 or 6.
Regardless of your model, maybe pull off your center console's side moulding (passenger side) and reach back there and re-seat the adaptor's cables on the back of the head unit????

I was going to go in the console and pull off the side so I could get to the system and at least get a make and model so then I could do some research and try to get sonething from that.

I have the USA Spec in mine, I just plug in the Ipod and then hit the CD button once and the stereo plays from the Ipod. Has never let me down.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but a guy at Best Buy told me since I have the six disc in dash, none of the blitzsafe adapters work. I thought the 6 disc was standard...also, with the blitzsafe, can you still use all 6 slots? Which one are you guys using?

Don't listen to the guy at Best Buy, seriously. I have a Blitzsafe in my 03' with the 6 speed disc changer and it works great. If you have the Blitzsafe, you can still use all 6 disk slots!

I believe I got this

Best thing EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Unlike the Aux Adapter, the blitzsafe does not incorporate the ipod volume. So your volume is solely based on your radio settings, which I enjoy because I mess with the volume sometimes to make my ipod glow.
