i have a 2000 3.4 TL and today it was driven fine and all that then all of a sudden i think the tranny went real bad such as it the 3rd gear did want to pick up and then the TCS and Check lite was on and the D5 was blinking.

car is about 120k
i am the 3rd owner

 

First of all, your TL is a 3.2, not a 3.4. lol. But yeah it sounds like you tranny just crapped out. That sucks man.

Your best hope is that with the warranty extension to 109k miles, and the other court decision that our odometers read 5% higher than actual miles-- you MAY be able to get Acura to cover most if not all the cost of the $4000 replacement

Its worth taking into the dealer and have them check it-
Speak ONLY with the Service Manager-not the service writers who will just bs you

Yea, I remember reading that somewhere. It's so your lease or warranty will end sooner saving them millions of dollars.

I am not certain which year and models are included _ MY TL is all I care about
and there was a court decision that many have used to get trans replaced with more than 109 indicated.
It doesnt really matter for any other purpose, except your actual gas mileage may be different than you calculate.
