Hey all,
I need you guys to help me decide on a body kit.... I really like the Acura underbody kit, and painted, its a good price at $930 here (thats with shipping). I can get the other body kit the W-type i think, for 5 and some change, and thats not painted. I've only seen like 2 pictures of the W-type, and I'm wondering if any of you guys have it on your car. I'm trying to buy a used Acura kit right now, same color and all too. I want to get the best kit for the money, and have it look awesome. Whats ya'lls advice?

Personally, I think the OEM underbody kit is better. I had the Wings West Typ- W kit, I went through 3 front lips. The Wings West kit makes your car a little lower, a little more agressive, but it is only attached on by double sided tape and mini screws. Very flimsy because it's polyurethane.

Comet, you should shop around more. Theres many dealerships who are trying to get rid of their 99-01 underbody kits for very very cheap. I went to a dealership out here and they quoted me less than half of that price.

Theres a place in northhollywood who distributes Wings West.
He got me my body kit ( unpainted $439 ). I just went down to Wings West near the beach to pick it up. saved shipping...

Its just a matter of research and you ll be amazed at what deals you can get... But then again if you are the BiG BaLLa, it shouldnt matter.

Look up the Blazing Stars and Value Sports Bodykit for our 99-01 TL. Theyre from Japan and cost $$$$$$$$$$$.

Go to honda**********.com. They might have the full kit for the 99s for $830 - free shipping. Last I heard, if you call 1-888-RAYLAKS you get a free set of wheel locks too.

You may want to check with Acura of Athens, ask for Dewey in service/parts. I have a 99TL and got my spoiler from him for $93bucks shipped through eBay. I also got my OEM kit on eBay as well.

 

Yeah, i prefer the OEM kit better than the others that I've seen. The Wings West one looks like it has a "stepping area to get into the car" according to my roommate. Checked around the atlanta dealerships, and the dealer that tried to rape me last saturday (quoting me at $1200) was completely beaten by another dealer who quoted me at $930. I know matt00tl is selling his OEM kit, and its already painted silver, so I'm going to try to get that one. Unfortunately, I can not post in the for sale/wanted forum, and I'm not sure if my PM went through or not. If anyone has anything else to add, I'd love to hear it, and I'll keep you guys updated on what I'm going to do!

IMO, the OEM bodykit looks way better!:p

 

Comet, you should call 1888RAYLAKS and talk to Tim. He quoted me the OEM body kit for 400 shipped. I'm about to order it next Monday when I get paid. It comes pre-painted. I have a 99TL by the way. Let me know how it go. Good luck!!!!!!
