I wanted to install an amp for a 10inch sub. I dont want to hook up behind the deck, i wanted to tie the RCA converter off the factory sub for an input. Is this possible ? Or will I need to use the rear speakers for 2 input signals ? I want to keep things pretty simple.

why do that? I used to have 2 12" Orion DVC's running off the stock Bose HU. You just need an adapter. A car stereo shop can hook this up for you no problem. You'll need an amp of course. What kind of sub and amp setup are you looking to run?
