Need advice on springs....
Now that I'm getting my kit and some 19" RH c2's, I realize that I definitly need to drop my car. Ideally, I'd like to slam the thing... But I don't have enough $ for coilovers, , and I'm kind of scared about bottoming out and scraping my kit. Also, I'd like a ride quality that is close to stock. My question is, is the comptech drop (1.7 F and 1.5 R i believe) "enough"? Or does it barely make a difference when you are looking at the car? Like I said, I'd really like to go as low as possible... but I'm really concerned about ride quality, and being that I live in a hilly areaa, im afraid that i am going to bottom out every other day. What springs would you suggest getting? btw... I have to go over speed bumps every day, so I definitly don't want to run into a problem by being too to go over these.
go with the h&R sports. Comptech is having way to many rust and springs breaking problems. Eibachs ride stiff and low. I have been in a few eibach cars. The best were the comptechs and H&R. Comptech is a little higher, especially in the rear than the H&R, but they both ride like stock. whenever you drop, if you are no careful, you will scrape. Sometimes even if you are careful, you will scrape. And wanting to go as low as possible, but have a good ride is an oxymoron. Just lowering an inch will change the ride quality. No spring and shock combo will be like stock. But some spring and shock combos will be smoother than others. You should also consider shocks. The stock shocks are adequate, but will need changing eventually. If you have a lot of miles on them, dont even bother leaving them on.
