Need advice problems developed while car at dealer

Well I had to have my car towed to the dealership because of transmission going out and it was covered so they were putting it in. I have not been having a good expierience with this so far but that is a long long story. Anyhow they call me up and say "yeah the car is not starting we are going to price out a starter for you". I kind of argued with the guy. I have never had starting problems at all and as a matter of fact I started the car to do a couple of things right before it was towed away and it started fine. I went down there tried to jump the battery and then even tried a brand new battery and it did not start. I use a Odyssey Enersys deep cycle battery and it is a really tough battery and it was completely dead, completely. How could my deep cycle battery and starter all be dead all of the sudden? The service guy started spouting crap trying to blame me saying that the 0 gauge cable I run to my amps was causing too much resistance and forcing too many amperes into the starter and that is probably why it blew. They acted as though they have never seen aftermarket wire in thier life like it was scary or something. What could have happened? I just think it is kind of strange it is in thier care and my battery is completely dead (reading 5 volts) and starter is screwed up. What do you guys think?

i bet you that the techs were testing out your sound system without starting the car. this will drain your battery real fast. they probably killed the starter when they cracked it a lot of times.

def sounds like they got something to do with it. call client services if you are talking to a wall (aka the dealership)
