Post Need advice on mods!!!

My friends are going to the track around May. They ask me to come alone, but I don't think my stock TL can handle that. I won't have my RWD weekend car by then. So I want to put some mods for my TL.

I am considering the following:

1. swaybar (for sure!)
2. coilover?
3. brake upgrades
4. tires
5. rim (perhaps)

I need some advice. The dealer in Toronto are a bunch of A$$holes, I am worry about my warranty. They told me that CAI is okay, but not suspenension mods. Btw, my car is leased, so I don't know if it's a good idea to mod it?

Anywayz, besides all that, what are mods that I "must" have for the track. I don't want to be the asshole that slows everyone down... Thanks so much in advance...

the mod list you have none of them give extra HP. If you just want more control maybe sway and tires are the most praticle... and cost less..
which track do you go to?

What track are you going to, Mosport? And with what club? I am an instructor for the BMW club in WNY and have driven my TL at the Glen. I took about 6 laps and warped my rotors. I don't have any mods. What I would suggest to you is BFG g-force tires and Hawk blue race pads but I dont know if they make them for the TL, I used to use them on my 325i.

I am still waiting for more info about the track. I think they are going Mosport, but I am not sure...

I don't really need to increase HP. I mean I think our TL need more work on the suspensiona and brake... I don't think I will want to risk my life with the stock brake... They really do suck...

the mods you listed dont give hp, but if u change your tires to high perf ones, you will definitely have better acceleration... it'll greatly improve your first 60-100ft, and the same applies for braking... amazing difference, it'll give u much better cornering and braking...

Any suggestions on brake mods? I know you can get a Brembo kit for the front, and it cost something like US$2000. I know a guy that did install the Brembo kit on his TL, but you have to upgrade to 18" rim for that.

Will I be fine with brakeline and pad upgrade? Will I warp my rotors?

If your going to the track just to run your car the factory brakes are fine. ive taken my car out to the track a couple times and they work fine. no need to get all these extra things on your car for just one day of track fun.

do not install coilover, they make your car bounce like an basketball. I've had experience.
