I say just as long as you are not upside down on it and dont mind the extra money for a note than go for it. I had a 2001 TLP and got rid of it and got an 03 TLS very happy with the switch

If you have a good chance to get one, it can't be wrong with an 03 TL-S.

The thing to watch out for with a 2003 TL is whether or not it has the extended 109,000 mile/7 year 9 month warranty on the transmission.

Not all 2003 TLs have this coverage and whether or not a particular car is covered depends on the car's VIN number.

I haven't driven the TLP but I am sure they are just as nice, only a bit slower.
If it's not gonna break the bank, and you are not getting ripped off when selling the TLP then yup. Either way, S or not, nice cars.
