Looking for some insight. i want to use the navigation display as a remote diplay input device for my Ipaq2215. what i imagine is setting the ipaq in a cradel of some sort and then using the sreen for display and input. be abel to play MP3, video, e-mail, internet via blutooth phone. Anyone know if this is possibel or any sugestions on were to go for some help.

you would need the GPS unit that connects onto ur PPC, then u would also need a car cradle. to play mp3s and such, you can either get blitzsafe or a FM modulator. total would be around $200. add another $100 for the SD card for videos. i am not sure about the internet/e-mail. try howardforums.com

 

I started a thread regarding this issue and some folks have responded back, the thread is titled After Market Navigation, also there is a thread that was started that someone found a solution to their navigation issues... these should be helpful.... try and look for them.... sorry that I am not much help...

 

You should really read what he wrote. He has navi in his car(so why would he need an aftermarket Navi???). He has an IPAQ 2215 and he wants to link it so that he can control the IPAQ from his Navi screen.

 

It's going to be next to impossible to be able to use the navi screen as a display for your IPAQ. 1)Because the 2215 doesn't even have a VGA output solution, even if it did how would you transfer the touch screen function from the IPAQ 2) Even with some kind of display output for the IPAQ, hooking it to the navi is another problem. 3) Even if you got them hooked up, screen resolution is very different and presents another problem.

Just buy a power cradel and attach the IPAQ audio out to the sound system using a Blitzsafe Aux adapter. That way, you can atleast listen to mp3, videos on your IPAQ thru your sound system.

HZM82 or anyone.... where do you get the chrome shifting layout?

 

Only the 99 TL has them. If you use paint remover, the base is chromed. Do not try it if you have any other year.

 

Just to make sure I'm looking at the right one, the blitzsafe aux adapter for 1999-2003 TL is HON/AUX DMX V.1 right?
