Navigation Costs

Does anyone know what the monthly subscription fee for the navigation system is for the TL?

Also, is it worth the extra $$?

Thanks

Malcolm

There is no monthly fee...it runs from a DVD disc that is mounted in the trunk. The only fee inccured is if you choose to update the DVD disc when a new one comes out (approx 1 every year).

In my opinion it was worht EVERY penny!

If you search the old posts, you'll see quite a few "raging debates" over the value of the NAVI system. I've had the NAVI now in 2 cars, and would not leave home without one!

My advice, listen to the people who actually HAVE the nav, and take with a grain of salt those that do not. You cannot appreciate the thing unless you live with one.

Before the anti-nav flames appear, I'm outta here,
and this is my 500th post!!!!

But don't you have to pay for the GPS locator? Or is that included?

Thanks

The GPS receiver comes with your car. There is no recurring cost to use the Navi..

You'd probably want to update your street and business directory once a year or so. The cost of each upgrade is $150, but is strictly optional.

I just noticed that you are in Canada.
The NAVI is not availablr there, as there are no maps.
When you cross the border at Niagra Falls, for instance, the roads just "go away". The NAVI turns into a $2000 compass!

AS for the fees, there are NO connection or monthly fees at all. You pay your $2K (US), and that's it...
