Navigation A/C Question HELP!

Hey guys I have a question, this weekend I converted my TL from non navi to navi. Everything is working fine except the. A\C controls. I plugged the pins in the correct spots but the AC still does not come up.

When you go into the diagnostics for the navigation the AC portion is red and the top says NG.

Could this mean that the wires are not making contact or I have a bad screen? Is the A\C button suppose to show the climate control when pressed even if it is not connected? Or will it show the climate control only when it is connected

Thanks

Did you connect the 3 wires from A/C Control Unit to Display unit? It A2/A4/A3 of the display go to B8/B12/B14 of the Climate Control Unit respectively. By the way, you can tell because B8/B12/B14 of your Climate Control connector will be missing 3 wires from those pins & you have to get 3 wires with pins from some other unuse connectors.

Yeah i tried that and it didn't work, i might have a faulty Screen. i will just leave it on auto, will that automatically shut down the AC compressor when i have the temp tuned up in the winter time?

I don't know about that but whenever I have A/C on, no matter what temperature or setting it's seem like it drags my car down a bit.

I am pretty sure if you have it on auto, it will only use the compressor when needed. The only thing controlled through the screen is your manual controls. You won't have defroster for the front and you won't be able to control fan speed and where it comes from. Doesn't sound to me like a faulty screen if that is the only thing not working. Maybe the wiring could be read out using a multimeter to make sure you are getting power when you need it. Or maybe it is somthing internal in the screen, honestly the more I think about it, the more I have no idea what it is....sorry. Hope you're able to figure it out.

yeah i know....well that's ok....i have all the other controls except to change the air flow....i have the option to defrost as well as the back glass.

it could be the wiring but i spent 2 hours on it last night and nothing worked...it could be the buttons maybe.....

if i get my hand on another screen i can try it out...anway the Navi system was a steal....everything for $300

i got the hookup with one of my friends who is a car dealer

thanksssssss
