here's my setup, it's a $65 4" GPS bought from staples during a sale. It fits tight in the compartment and doesn't move when I press button/make sharp turns. It has a mp3/4 player with built in FM transmitter. Almost looks factory installed

I use a Palm TX for my GPSin, i picked up the palm a while ago for full price, but the GPS reciever, chargers, cradle, and tom tom software i picked up on ebay new for $60. Works pretty well, but for long trips it can take up to a minute for it calculate the route, I had no problems with accuracy.
