Navi screen idea

Navi screen idea

Ok I have a non navi and want to get a backup camera. So I was thinking about getting a navi plastic peice thing and buildig in a screen for the backup camera instead of the navi. How bigs the hole for a screen

or just get a aftermarket radio with a screen and be done with it (proably be cheaper too, by the time you add all the climate controls and stuff, but also remember that the factory screen is not just for the navi sustem, it also has a couple of additional screens, like for the HVAC [A/C] controls, which i think the only way to actually control the fan speed on a navi car is through that screen)

this reminds me though a little off topic but did anyone find out how to hack the navi screen in the 2nd gens? sorry to sorta change the topic.

^I think it was called NavHacks or NavTools... Not sure, but try searching.

To the OP, you might want to look into how people installed the spoilers w/cam. Ask juanclopez, a member who has recently installed a back-up camera. he might give you some help.

you are correct!

OP i would just get a double din and do it like that,,Cheaper and easier
