headlight out

ok, so water got into my drivers headlight, and a bulb burned out. it was the normal light one, not the brights or turnsignal or anything, not sure on the name of it. Looking on sylvania, is the the low beam or high beam headlight? and would this: https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/hid-special-%2460-shipped-acurazine-members-723872/ be something i coudl get to fix that?

No you just need D2S or D2R bulbs.

Try ebay for them.

Replace in pairs.

You would have more trouble trying to figure out how to wire the aftermarket ballasts up to the factory ballasts and all that BS that you do not need to go through.

Well I wouldn't go aftermarket

Even though the OEM ballasts are $$$ I would still get them and replace them.

The OEM ballasts are meant to last for a long time. Some last up to 10+ years and if you get aftermarket ballasts then you do not know if they are assured to last.

You can go aftermarket with the ballasts but it would be harder to wire.

There is no straight bulb number that the ballast would hook up to. The wires that go into the OEM ballast are different than those that go into an aftermarket ballast so it would not be a direct fit.

It can work but it will take time and knowledge. You can splice it and cut the wires to work but IMO it is more of a headache than needed.

moisture in the housing drips down and out the wiring hole on bottem- directly onto the ballast- killing it

must fix seal on headlight or replace housing with new to cure the prob- or you will blow bulbs and ballst over and over

try junkyards for ballast
