Navi screen & backup camera question

Is there a way to use the navigation screen for a reverse backup camera? I kinda tried a quick search but didn't really know where to look, so sorry if this topic has been discussed already. I didn't really even know where to post this, since it is an audio/video question, but 2nd gen only....so I'm posting it here.

Please give me some advice.....

You'll need DOms Nav2Video convertor and a backup camera. Doms UNit has an input for a backup camera and a wire to connect to your reverse lights so when u put it in revers it will automaticlly switch the nav screen to your backup camera.

Seems everyone on here runs Wendy's cameras. What type of input does the Dom's unit have? I've also seen people running Pioneer's unit as well....

You can use any ordinary car camera off of ebay. Dom's unit has two video inputs. One for dvd player and one for back up. You wire dom's unit to your reverse lights so it automatically switches between the video sources when you go in reverse. It is a simple composite hookup. Normally with A/V equipment you have a red/white/yellow wire for left audio/right audio/video in this case its the video (yellow wire).

So it's just a video input for a camera and a DVD source? If you run the DVD source when does it play in your nav screen. Only when you're in reverse or other times?

The reverse camera only turn ON when you put the car in reverse. Now for your DVD you have a trigger switch that you use to go back an forth from Navi Screen to TV/DVD/Game Screen. I have been using Dom Unit for over 2+ year an I can SAY I it's must have

Check DOM Unit in Black Market under Vendor section.

I've looked in the Black Market and don't see any posts for Dom's Unit anymore. Does anyone know if he is still around? I was also wondering if anyone remembers the ebay name of the person selling the backup camera that everyone purchased and seemed to be happy with. I'd like to get this thing installed soon if I can get all the parts together.

You can buy any camera, but i think it is the wendy camera you are looking for. I think dom is selling his nav2dvd units on ebay as well, or you can just call the number in the black market post.
