Navi questions and compatability RL TL MDX ...discs
A friend of mine totalled his MDX, an '04 of all things too. (rear ended by Semi...'nuff said.) thankfully, he was just fine after the accident. Well, before he had the car hauled off, he gave me his Navi disc, version 3.56? I don't have it on me now, but it was version 3 something.
Why doesn't this disc work in our 2000-2003 (I have the '03, not that it matters) TL's? And how many different discs are they?
I noticed the Pilot got Navi this year too--looks the same as ours (in photos, never used it) but it has that bread crumbs thing--if we try that disc out, can we get the same feature? There must be a way to spruce up our Navi's
I've burned Navi dics successfully, does anyone think by removing some files in the MDX 04 (speech/voice activated stuff) disc, it can work in our machines?
I looked in my Helms manual, didn't say anything regarding the navi besides the hardware involved.
thanks!

The '04 MDX,TL,CL,TSX all use the new disc, same as the 03 Honda Accord and 03 TSX. These won't work in the 2nd gen units (which is what you have in your '03). Different hardware requires different software and database.
