Navi problems captured on video

OK, my Navi has been giving me problems for months now. It always thinks I'm turning when I'm going straight (gyro sensor is defective), causing it to stray all over the map even when I'm not maneuvering.

Problem is, the problem is intermittent and the last TWO times I took it to Superior Acura the Navi behaved perfectly well!

Well, I decided to take my crappy webcam with me today, and I hand-held the cam facing the Navi and I captured the bad boy misbehaving on a cruddy 7fps vidcap. YES!

I'm going to Superior again tomorrow morning to show them the clip. Hopefully that will be enough to convince them to replace my Navi.

As long as you got evidence, they can't say "no".

That's cool, man! Good luck - you've got the evidence - that should be all that matters!

I'm going to Superior this evening. I'm hoping that each Navi unit comes paired with a DVD... maybe it'll be the latest version!

In any case I'm going to eject and keep my DVD before I let them remove the box.

Yay! It worked. I showed the vidcap to Jenny the Asst. Service Manager at Superior and she was convinced. I'm getting a new Navi unit next week.

Hope it comes with 2.05 on it!

do you have alloy tint on the rear window? if you do that could be the problem. if you are going to tint the rear window be sure to get non - alloy tint.

That's right, I don't have any tint. What's more, I think metallic tint is OK if you don't apply the tint over the GPS antenna (in other words, make a cutout).
