Does anyone else experience maybe once a month, when you start the car, the navi should turn on with you with that ACURA GPS globe logo junk...

but sometimes, it doesnt even turn on... when you turn your car on....

it just blank.. just black no power... so i have to "reboot" my car when im driving on the highway twice... to get juice in it...

someone explain this please :o

 

Never had that problem.

 

how do you reboot your system while your driving?

 

just turn off the car, so your car is still going at 60mph, then turn it back on



then if it still doesnt work, repeat

 

Good luck with your starter and flywheel, plus you could lose power steering and brake boost if it doesn't "reboot". I would just bring it back for service.

 

I had that same black out and had to restart my car for it to come on. The dealer couldn't get it to repeat so they didn't do anything for me. It happen only once and didn't happen again.:p

 

I've had it happen twice. I had to restart the car to get it to come on.

 

yeah and it only happened to me twice...


im just worried, what if it breaks in 2 yrs? or something

 

Never heard of this problem and I called a friend of mine at Acura and they haven't heard of it either ..... I'd have it looked at though if it re-occurs (the dealer will most likley have to witness the problem though :o(

 

I have the same problem, over 7500 miles and five months, we're talking about maybe four blackouts. Like the other people with this problem, only way to get navi back on is to restart the car (only I stop it first...)

 

Happened to me once, started up my car..and noticed my Navi didn't turn on. I'm like :wow: :wow: I started pressing EVERYTHING! hahaha..no luck. So then later when I got to McDonalds, went in, came back out....started it...it came up just fine. Only happened once.

 

It's time for new car!!!

 

hahah Paul, I love this car...even with the tranny woes. But if Honda offers me a flawless 92 NSX, I'd trade it in a heartbeat! then I'll have no Navi! :p
