Post Navi

Hi All,
I bought my TL in Canada which it does not come with Navi at all. I was wondering is it possible to have the Navi. installed in US, if I bring my TL to any dealer or any shop there. Is it worth?

I would say, install the aftermarket one or exchange the car in US. Why didn't you buy the car in the US in the begining?

It would require some major interior work. Someone asked about it a long time ago and one of the Acura techs explained how much work and $$$ it would cost.

Too much trouble to buy a car in US for Candaidna. Damn, I wish I live in US. It is much easier to buy stuff without heavy tax rate. Fukc, stuff here is expensive after the fukcing tax.

I would just install an Alpine Navigation, it's the same thing, expect the orginal Alpine has alot more points of interests.

Yet, just get the Alpine DVD Navi, and you can get a PS2 installed as well. You can play games, and watch DVD... Why not...

Well, you got two options I guess

1. replace the stock headunit with an Alpine monitor and you still have 1 din of space left for you to either mount the DVD navi, or a MD/CD/DSP whatsoever kinda unit

2. you can check out Snook's ride. He got his monitor installed in where the useless CD tray sits. The space right on top of our stock HU.

You can mount the PS2 in pretty much everywhere. Some put them under the driver's seat, some put them in the trunk pass-thought. You really need to ask Streeteffectz for those... He is da man...

The Navi doesn't even cover canada at all, so unless you do a lot of driving to the states then it wouldn't be worth it anyways. Im assuming you drive down to the US or you wouldn't have asked..

Honestly, I just think it looks good on the car, and I heard soemone say I can watch DVD with it or something. Plus my cousin's MDX has a screen too, even she does not have a Nvvi either. But that screen is like a trip computer and tells you some info about the mileage gas watsed or something, and most important, it has compass. I really want to have a electrical compass on my car.
