itrip is HORRIBLE! the biggest waste of money imho.

cassette is way better for the money.
i have a blitzsafe setup. costed me 65 dollars to buy, it hooks up on the back of head unit and you can trace the wire through any compartment of your car. I have it coming into my "not an ashtray" tray and have the MP3 player sitting inside there. no wires, no mess, and pure MP3 quality.

Blitzsafe is the way to go. You can install it without removing the radio if you are patient. The sound is awesome.

Sounds like the way to go, does the stock Bose 6-disc am/fmcd changer deck have a aux port in the back? Or how does it hook up?

Yup...aux port in the back... And it is possible to get to that port without yanking the deck... Just remove the trim and kick panel from the passenger's side and you can click the connector in...

Interestingly enough (probably not to this crowd, but certainly interesting for me), my Honda Odyssey has a CD deck and an auxilary tape deck... I thought for certain that I was screwed with the tape deck occupying the aux port... But the tape deck also had a pass-through aux port...so it daisychained quite well...

Nice!

or just the HON/AUX DMX V.1

The D on the end denotes the abillity to plug an alpine cd changer into the adapter as well. This unit is 10 bucks more. I actually had to order this one because the regular one was on backorder for a long time.

Here is a link for the regular version

No... The aux port is a square shaped hole...the Blitzsafe connector clicks into place... Not sure if the plug is proprietary or based on some standard though... Perhaps others on this board will know...

So what does the blitzsafe look like after its installed? Does the cable hang out on one side of the trim or through the center console somewhere?

Well this is nice to know I can get a quality line input into the stock stereo. I think this will prevent me from altering the original system, as I was really wanting a way to play MP3's or eventually XM radio. All I need is a an mp3 player as my ipod shuffle didn't survive the trip through the clothes washer a few months ago...
