n00b Needs Advice....

Hey Team, I'm looking into buying my boss' 2000 Acura TL. It's a lease and the end of the contract is coming up this summer. The car has only 29k miles and I figured this would be a killer deal since the residual (buy-back) is only $16k. I thought this would be a no-brainer until I started doing some research. I read nothing but "transmission" threads and how so many of you guys and gals were on your 3rd, 4th trannies. What I read put me in a very uncomfortable situation, to say the least. What would you guys say or do if you were in my shoes? Do I proceed and buy this TL, knowing that there might be tranny problems, if there hadn't already been any, or do I stay far away from the second Gen TL altogether? Please advise....

Well the tranny issues, if by a small chance they actually affect you, are warrantied until 100k miles. I definately wouldn't let the possibility stop me, I love my 00TL. And no matter what car you get, there's a chance it's gonna crap out on you.
