Is My Tranny Gonna Blow?
I jus recently bought a 2002 Acura TL Black, and when i bought it, it was at 43k, it is now at 47k, twice when i was beatin it, shifting from 2nd to third after nearly red lining, my car jerks like crazy and make a wierd ass noise before it finally kicks into the third gear. I have the sequential shift aka semi-auto. Someone tell me whas wrong..help me out

your tranny isn't gonna blow but it is ready to die on you. You shouldn't have to recreate the problem. Just take it to them, tell them the tranny is fried and they will give you a rental for the week. Just make sure you take out things you need.

lol u know what sucks..i didnt know tranny's were such an issue for the 2nd generation tl's, it's my favorite car..guess i was wrong! I'll tell you one thing though..im lookin foeard to the 2006 Acura CL A-Spec...V6 300hp...almost positive no tranny issues there
