it's the second time i post about my slow a$$ car...


according to car-stats.com, civic SI's can beat me. I'm DISAPPOINTED. I CAN GET BEAT BY A CIVIC. wtf????
i dont wanna be stomped by a 16yo kid driving a stock Civic SI

i need more power but i dont feel like spending about 700$ (CAN) for 15hp with headers

i guess i'll have to live with the civics in front of me

oh btw i just red a FOCUS SVT is faster too, and a Mini-Cooper...

 

you can beat the civic SI hands down. my buddy has one and its modded and i can spank him,

but do u have a 99 or 00+ cuz the 99 is like 0.5sec slower because of the 4sp tranny...

Dude, you can take a mini... I read in car and driver that it has a 7.1 0-60. Ours has a 6.6 I was told... I'm not sure. It sure feels like it's a hell of alot faster than 7.4, I've got news for you. Our car gets down. Don't let what those mags say about other cars. Our car is a Lurury Sedan man, but it's fast for one. Most HP in it's class. Well, the new Type S anyways... Anywho, I love this car. And with a few mods to the engine, it can be pretty speedy.

What are you talking about. The SI is a piece of cake. I have a 99 and I have beaten a lot of them when I was stock. Now that my engine is modded, forget about it.

BTW, stop magazine racing.

hey at least we dont get as much tranny problems =P But yeah..depends how well the kid can shift.. If he does a nice clutch burning launch at 3k rpms..shifts smoothly it will be about even. STUPID slushbox autos..

yea it does take forever! i did last weekend and it felt like i'd traveled 140 miles b4 i got to 140:o

 

trade it in for a 5spd. jp buy the stone racing headers for $400 shipped on the other site. they are better then obx but comparable to comptechs.

maybe all those ricey light mods are taking the power away. lol borrow sum stickers from badazztl

my car does 0-60 in about 7.2-7.4 which i think is NORMAL for a 1999 NON-5sp TL...

but i still feel like my car is slow

The answer is stickers and Red bull.
Red bull will give the car wings and the stickers will boost the extra HP to fly.

 

POST OF THE YEAR!!! Dude, your car is faster than a lot of other cars. It's not slow. A 7-8 second car is not slow.

 

dont worry about the mini...a guy at my work has one and sometimes i see him pass me on my way to work....but like a gentelmen i return the favor

well so far i have race with civic SIR and mini and even accord V6
those car....i found out TL 0-100 might be sux but.....up 100 km
da TL runs faster and faster like i beat up da civic SIR when i am about 140 km.....so dont be upset ~but u got really really watch out da traction of this car haha

99 TL-P i/h removed resonators, i run with big boys all the time. I hung with a stock type s just last night, my nose was at his front door till about 80 when we shut down.
