Post my TL got side swiped...but it held up really well

Well, it happened while I was in Hawaii last week on business. My girlfriend was driving in Beverly Hills and two hispanic "gentlemen" in a van swerved into the left rear door and quarter panel. Amazingly enough, they didn't touch my wheel or tire and the car drives perfectly. Not only that, the rear door (which is caved in) opens and closes perfectly and sounds as solid as the other doors.

I must say, I was so relieved that my girlfriend was OK that I didn't really care what happened to the car, but as it turns out the guy has insurance and there were two witnesses who pulled over to give Cheryl their names and they've already given a statement.

I guess I just wanted to let you all know that the TL is amazingly solid in a collision. So, in two or three weeks my car will be good as new. $2500 is the estimate I got from two shops.

Glad that she was okay.

Good to know that the TL was solid in an accident.
