Unhappy My TL is going back into service, AGAIN!!

I just got my new transmission installed like 7000 miles ago and there are more problems with it!!! When I accelerate on the highway going like 60 or 70mph it down shifts into gear pretty hard, there is a noticable jerk. Also, there is a pause while putting the car from park to reverse. Do you guys have any advice on the situation or comments??

Sorry to hear about your woes. There have been some members reporting problems with their tranny. What year is your TL, and how many miles do you have? If you had it replaced 7k miles ago, it should definitely still be under warranty. I think Acura gives a 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty on tranny replacements.

It is a 2000 and I have about 52,000 miles on it...not to proud of that one. But you are right, there is a 3 year warranty on the transmission.

from my readings in your previous post, could you be driving the car to hard? pushing the transmission (ex: hard downshifts), or stressing the torque converter. but sorry to hear about your problems, hope everything gets fixed.

I am really suprised about the tranny, Acura has pretty realiable cars that rarely require much more than service most of their lives.

I've got a 2001, and it hesitates slightly before I from park to drive, or park to reverse. I don't think thats a big deal. Most cars respond that way.

Wink

i know that there is a small pause between shifts, but i have been driveing the car for about 50000 miles and I know what it feels like when I put the car into gear so that is why I sent the car in to service. It feels strange and I was worried cause there is a brand new transmission in the car. Just thought you would like to know that
