My TL Was Flooded
My TL was flooded tonight. I had to go thru a 2 foot or so deep pool of water . I had water that gushed through the doors. While I had to cross this flood . I really had no choice but to go thru it since I was on the freeway and couldnt $hit about it. I couldnt back up so I am pretty much pissed. The floor is soaked and now smells like mildew. I am so glad I didnt lower the car yet ,otherwise I would be looking a pretty much a new car. The water would have flooded the engine and bye bye type s. I also think I damaged some mechaincal stuff under the hood. When I turn the car off I hear a stalling ringing sound. I also have a headlight that is all fogged up. I am so pissed right now I cant stand it. I just bought the car 2 weeks ago.

I suggest take it to a shop and have the carpets lifted up and the seats removed to let things dry inside. Go get some diagnostics done on your electrical systems at the dealer. Get a major service done (basically change fluids) in case water got into any of them. At least that's where I would personally start.

Man that sucks. My wife's integra was flooded a few years ago. I stripped the interior to wash the carpets. I found that there is a 1/8th inch black tar like sound deadening material stuck to the floor that holds water very well. It took about a week to dry that crap out, I left the carpet out and the doors open for a week and I'm not 100% sure it was completely dry. Oh well, it was a lease so fvck it.
