I'm so friggin pissed right now... I went out to my car this morning, to start packing for my trip home, and theres this HORRIBLE key mark stretching from one side of the rear, all the way across the trunk, and down halfway to the wheel well.... I have pictures, I just cant figure out a site to post them on so I can include a link.... can anyone tell me where I can post these pictures? I'm going to call insurance tomorrow, and deal with that.

Damn man, that is deep.......simular crap happened to me too, just found a dent on the rear passenger side door. Looks like some punk @ss SUV slammed it cause it's pretty deep. I have to call Dent Pro and have them fix it.....

Acutually.... hehe... I think it is girls. After it happened to my Infiniti, I called the Auburn Police, and they said they had girls going to all the apartment complexes and keying the nicer cars. My room mate works for my apt. complex, and told me tonite that the porsche boxter, corvette, a lexus, and 2 BMWs had been keyed recently.... It really pisses me off, on my last nite there too... That was the reason I got the TL to begin with, cause my Infiniti had so many damned scratches! I've only had the car for a month, and now look at this. Anyways, It will be OK, I'll call up insurance tomorrow. Anyone in the Atlanta area know of a good body shop that is reasonably cheap? I refuse to take it to Maaco! Actually, when my infiniti got scratched one time, there was $900 in damage, on the dealers estimate... took it to maaco for 300, kept the difference. They didn't really do that bad of a job, but I dont know if my TL should go there!

damn bro, someone scratched me just like that back in Feb outside a club on Delaware Ave in Philly. mine was a little deeper but not as long as yours...right on the trunk just like that though. can't believe people resort to this kind of bullsh!t...any dude that do this is a ho and deserves a beatdown...and any b!tch that do this deserve to get smacked around a bit.
My estimate was like 800 bucks to fix at a reputable bodyshop that my acura dealer uses...but you should shop around to see what kind of prices. definitely don't go to maaco or some cheap a@@ shop.

 

sorry to see that on such a nice car. I have the save silver tl like your. I had a ding from school earlier this month. I think some guys/girls open the door and hit my right rear passenger door. I was pissed but couldn't blame anyone. I am trying to get it fix but just too expensive. I am thinking of getting a suction cup. But don't know where to get it. Anyone knows where to get the cup? thanks

I still havn't got the estimate for my poor car yet... I feel like a father whos failed.... kinda rediculous, but I literally feel sick about the matter. Looks like we may pay for it out of pocket, since my mom's 5 series got hit this week, the rear bumper is messed up, and the person left without doing anything.... But anyways, I guess it is just a car, and I shouldn't get so worked up about it.... wait.... yes I should!!! I'll keep ya'll updated on whats happening, but really, if anyone knows about a good body shop in Atlanta, let me know!

Well I do agree with you. The girls who keyed my car were those sorority girls, and they were rediculosly drunk. I also found out that the rugby team had an input on it at one point in time (not on the Acura, but on my Infiniti.... that really pissed me off)

I think what is terrible about your situation is that when someone keys your car the damage is relatively minor. 800-900 dollars. So if you go and try to use your insurance you have to pay the deductible of 500 (if you have it) and all they pay is 300-400. But wait! Your rates will go up atleat that for making a claim. So your better off paying it all yourself. THAT BITES!
