Cracked fogs are pretty common because they are so low to the ground. If something hits it at freeway speeds its very likely to break. You can protect your investments in the future by putting Xpel over the lights. As for the cracked lens I would get it fixed.

go to a shop that you know and ask about those fog lights. If you just need to replace the glass then that's cool. If you need to replace the entire housing (PIAAs are usually like that) then there will be some BigMoneyWasted.

PIAA fog lights

I had the same exact problem, except it was with the PIAA 1700 series lamps. It cracked about 3 months later. I called PIAA directly and told them what happened. The rep tried to tell me it was probably hit by a rock while driving or that I installed it incorrectly. So, I sent it back to them for them to see for themselves. They determined that the cracks were caused by the winter weather(I live in NYC). Fortunately, this was covered under the warranty; which I think is 90 days. Within 2 weeks, I got a brand new one.

All you have to do is convince them that it's defective and that the weather caused it to crack. Good luck...

If you have any questions, just email me.
