my front end is squeaking....

I have noticed that when i go over bumps on the road at low speeds i get a squeaking noise from the front driver side. Has anyone every experienced this? Could a bit of grease on the ball joints solve this problem? I do have the h&r springs so i am almost certain that acura wont do much interms of fixing this problem.... any ideas of what it could be?

hmmm... i was gonna say camber kit... but you don't have one. When my car squeaks, it's usually from my rear camber kit. try spraying wd40 all over the place

Also, make sure you don't have a broken or cracked spring (not sure how old they are). Can always check the individual coils... Or could be the ball joint... ?

the springs have been on the car for less than 2 months.. and they were brand new when i bought them... i am going to try spraying wd 40 around the springs and see if that makes any difference...

If it sounds like wet tennis shoes on ceramic floors, check out upper and lower control arms.

I have almost the same issue, but I hear clunking noises. it only happens on small bumps... almost sounds like something is loose, but not loose enough to hear it on bigger bumps..

I'm taking my car in today.. So hopefully the dealership can fix it..

I'm pretty sure it's the ball joint. I had my driver side joint replaced around 20,000 miles. They had a service bulletin about it. The service advisor knew exactly what the caused was as he has seen this many times.

Do you have the service bulletin?

Just came back from the dealership, we both took it for a ride.. The service tech stated that he couldn't hear anything.. And I can't hear anything from the passenger side, so.. Probably need to get someone with better hearing.. He also jacked the car up, stated that nothing was loose or anything..

So, the service bullentin would help a lot...

Unfortunately, I don't have the service bulletin. Which Acura dealer did you go? I took my car to Arlinton Acura in Palatine. My service advisor was Devon (forgot his last name). Hope this helps.

That could be a loose strut bolt. It happened to me once just as you described.

i think the squeak is gone.. i re-tightened the bolts for the struts under the hood and then went back on the same road where i was hearing the squeak and i couldnt hear it.. so hopefully that did the trick...

I have a squeak too, sounds like a little birdy in my engine. Not noticable when driving fast but when slow and going over bumps, I could almost swear there is a nest of birds in my engine.

hehehe... I bet its all in your mind! Try strapping coilovers on...

Squeekin must be relatively loud for you to be hearing it in the interior no?

As has been mentioned earlier, try the ol-wd40 on all joints to keep things quiet under there.

i normally have my windows down so i can hear the squeaks thing is that they arent very loud and since i re-tightened all the strut bolts i have not heard anything...

I also have a squeak on the drivers side. Can only hear it with the window down at slower speeds. I don't have any aftermarket suspension parts. How do i check if its the ball joints, springs or struts? Or anything else?

Ive also had this squeeking, and most of you may have the same problem i had. Most of the time when this squeeking occurs on and over bumbs (like speed bumbs), all you have to do is lube the sway bars. Just take it to a place that will use the acura lube for it, or the dealership and it will take this squeeking away. nice and simple.

I thought it was a normal side effect of aftermarket springs, I have this also and I hate it (HR Sports/Tokico Illuminas/Comptech Sways). Between this and scrapping the crap out of my front lip all the time, I wish I still had stock springs :/. The look is sweet but it sounds ghetto.
