my friend has a ? about 99 TL intakes
he doesnt wanna post it, but when he tried to put his in, some green fluid started leaking out of the bottom intake hose. what is this and is it supposed to leak? i was guessing it was coolant but why is there liquid in there? is the 99 different than the 00?

Yes, in the 99's, there is coolant running through the airbox. This is in case the system detects the air is "too cold", it heats the air. whoevers idea that was should die..
But yeah, since its part of the coolant system, if you dont bypass it properly you will loose pressure and have a big problem. Tell him to FIX ASAP!!!!

Follow where the two hoses originate at the engine. Pop off one of the hoses and connect the end of the other hose to where you popped off the first one.
You should end up with an extra piece of hose you don't need. Got it?
