Cool My first post on board

To all,

Just want to say hello. I've been reading this Forum evers since a friend of mine bought a WDP-s. I have not purchased one yet but I'm fairly sure I will. This board has help me with knowing how much I should pay, what I should get included for free and what problems or defects I should look for when I purchase.

I currenlty drive a 98 V6 Accord which I plan on trading in for a Silver TL-s w/ Nav and body kit. I plan taking my alarm and 18" chrome wheels and tires from my Honda and installing them on the TL.

I will keep you informed as to when I get the car and share my pros and cons and maybe some questions (I'll try to search for the answer first)

BEWARE! This board will cost you money. Thankfully, I did not find this board while I had my leased 99TL, or I may not have been able to control myself! Fortunately, I found it while waiting for my TL-S to be delivered, which I did not lease!

Remember, "Mods the word"

A statement like this leads me to believe you havent driven either of these cars as the difference between them is night and day. Plus I find that statement laughable at best coming from a Lexus owner. Ever heard of the ES300 which had more in common with a Camry including the engine than the TL ever did with the Accord.

I remember one of the guys who actually made it to this board came to the dealership to testdrive the TL-S in his CLK430. Went for the test drive with is father and when they came back, his father remarked how he thought he would feel like he was test driving the Accord. He followed that statement by saying this car is no Accord.

Welcome aboard Silver S, trust me you'll know you made the right choice the second after you turn the key and hit the gas.

Enjoy the ride and dont even try to resist the urge to mod the S if you are a board regular, you'll fail miserabley.

Welcome to the board, Victor. Remember, if your sales guy isn't offering you what you want, check out the one I dealt with and we'll go to Exotica and have fun with the check she sends me for refering you.

Thanks to all who replied. This board may cost me money but most likely save me money in return by knowing what to get and what to pay for it.

I have one question. Why is it people think the TL gets its interior parts from the Accord? I think it's the other way around. I believe the engine was from an Acura as well as the stereo buttons on the steering wheel. I know its all Honda product but I think parts are handed down not up. So when they say it looks like an Accord you can say the Accord looks like a TL.

To 1SICKLEX,
Your message said you deleted your post then you thank SimTypeS. Did you actually want to thank Mr Hyde for posting your comment? Not trying to start anything just do not understand your thanking him.

Victor, it was a post I made that 1SICKLEX was talking about. He was very cool about it. I was hoping I didn't come off in a bad way. Everyone here likes cars, so it's all cool.
